Guardians of the Children
An initiative by Guardians of the Voiceless
Guardian of the Children is a non-profit organization aimed at helping children from poor neighborhoods in India to discover their fullest potential by providing them with opportunities to learn and get inspired.
More than often, children from poor families lack the infrastructure and exposure necessary to discover and exploit talents and therefore usually ends up stuck in the cycle of poverty.
Our goal is to empower these children by providing them with education opportunities and mentorship to help them become meaningful members of the society.
Guardian of the Children target population includes orphans, street children, and those with parents but form very poor backgrounds. We not only provide education to these needy children but we also give them shelter, food, clothing and medical services.
The idea of Guardian of the Children was born two years ago in the United States with the first project taking place in Patiala. Since then, we have established roots in another two cities, namely Delhi and Rishikesh. In Rikesh, we serve over a hundred children on a daily basis.
